Program Title: Basic Adult Education in Math and English

Program Overview:

The Basic Adult Education in Math and English program is designed to provide foundational skills in mathematics and English for adult learners. Geared toward individuals who may have limited prior education or wish to refresh and strengthen their basic academic skills, this program addresses fundamental concepts in both subjects to empower participants for everyday life, work, and continued education.

Program Duration: The duration of the program is flexible, accommodating the varied needs and schedules of adult learners, class duration is one semester  14 to 15 weeks.

Curriculum Highlights:

Basic Math:

  1. Number Sense:
    • Review and practice fundamental concepts such as counting, place value, and understanding numerical relationships.
  2. Basic Operations:
    • Mastery of addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division, including real-life problem-solving applications.

  4. Measurement:
    • Practical applications of measurement, including length, weight, volume, and time.
  5. Basic Geometry:

Basic English:

  1. Grammar Fundamentals:
    • Essential grammar rules, parts of speech, and sentence structure.

  3. Writing Skills:
    • Instruction on basic writing mechanics, including sentence construction and paragraph development.
  4. Vocabulary Building:

    • Application of language skills in practical, everyday contexts.
  6. Communication Skills:
    • Basic oral communication skills for effective everyday interactions.
